More product information
Red Afro by Tropical Seeds CO is a hybrid that was created by three breeders at tropical, and it took years to choose the perfect resulting plant. The strains used to create it were Pakistan Chitral Kush and a Swazi from South Africa. We recommend using this plant to make resin extracts such as BHO or rosin – the end results can turn out a beautiful purple color.
Indoors this plant grows compact and short, so it’ll need a decent amount of growth before flipping the lights – make sure they’re at least 30-40cm tall before flipping them to the flowering light schedule. This plant is easy to grow and sturdy, we recommend feeding it with medium doses of nutrients in order to make the most out of them. In order to get the most out of its flavor and aroma, you’ll want to use an organic fertilizer.
Outdoors, these plants grow into a sort of Christmas tree structure with deep dark leaves and beautifully lilac/red buds – some plants can go dark purple that almost looks black. This plant’s sturdy enough to ward off insect and fungi infestation thanks to its Pakistani genes. It should be ready to harvest towards the end of September/beginning of October, yielding up to 400-500g per plant when done properly.
Red Afro has a sort of berry flavor with flowery hints and a hint of Kush/Hash. Its effect is narcotic, relaxing and it’s usually long-lasting and physically heavy, perfect for relaxing before heading to bed. Its medicinal effects are also great for treating chemotherapy side-effects such as nausea and vomiting.
