Ghana

Ghana is a landrace marijuana strain by the seed bank Cannabiogen. This is a greatly powerful African plant. It has become very famous in Ghana, a country known as "the African Holland". This is the most sought-after and consumed variety by African growers and users. The plant adopts dark shades, mainly green ones. Sometimes, it can exhibit some black and brown tones.

Indoors, it can take up to 16 weeks to flower. It's not suitable for all kinds of grower. If we allow for too long a vegetative development, plants will become almost 1.5m or more. Plants will quickly reach the ceiling of your grow tent. We should change the photoperiod to 12/12h from the moment the plant is 15cm at most. We can also grow directly at 12/12 if we start growing from seedlings. This plant is not really adapted to indoor growing and it's necessary to have some experience with similar plants if we decide to grow it in this environment.

Outdoors, we'll cut it at the end of November. It features good resistance to adverse climates, particularly to humid ones. This is due to the fact its buds are quite open and aired. It consumes a lot of water and you'll have to irrigate it abundantly during the summer months. It also needs a lot of light to emulate its native African environment. Though it can be grown in colder locations in a greenhouse it'll be particularly easy to grow in the Mediterranean coast or in the South of Spain. It's always advisable to keep an eye on its watering needs.

This plant features a taste and scent which are difficult to describe. It's not exactly a fruity sweet but very hot, while it has some minty touches. It leaves a strong and long-lasting taste of hashish in the mouth. A true African flavor you cannot really compare with anything you've tried before.

Ghana regular's effect is also unbeatable. You'll feel again like a teenager. The effect is trippy and keeps on increasing for hours just do go down slowly afterwards. Although this is a very resinous strain, we might not find the expected effect if we do extractions out from it. When you smoke its hashish or BHO the effect is mainly sativa. It increases sociability, although conversations end up being too incoherent. This strain is perfect to travel to the African savanna without leaving your living-room.
