The Real McCoy by Flying Dutchmen is a sativa-dominant strain born of the cross between a landrace strain from Hawaii and The Pure by this very same seed bank. A Skunk#1 genetics hybridized with sativas from the Pacific. This strain will be particularly appreciated by connoisseurs from all over the world and sativa lovers.
If you're a demanding smoker and want your strain to stand out, this is your plant. Indeed, plants of this variety are tall, vigorous and healthy. Though it's not remarkably productive, both the flavour and potency of the final product are very special. Buds become full of resin towards the end of the flowering, particularly in the calyces, with shiny trichomes and intense scent. They adopt lime-lemon green shades which will make your mouth water.
Indoors, it takes 80-90 months to flower and shoots up a lot so it's not very recommendable. However, if there is no choice we can plant those seeds with the Sea of Green technique, setting them directly at 12h from sprouting. You'll be able to get an approximate production of 350g per m2 if you grow them this way. You'll have to employ some tutors or a net to control its height. Indoor growing makes up for the long wait with an increase of power and although it might not be one of the most indicated strains for this kind of cultivation, it won't give us major complications if we're really used to other sativas.
It is outdoors where this genetics will produce to its most, yielding up to 300g or even 350g per specimen. It grows many branches to the point it might become impossible to discern which is the central cola. It would work better in a hot climate, such as the Mediterranean or in the South of Europe where it's important it receives as many hours of sunlight as possible. When planted directly in the soil, with a good substrate and the required fertilizers, we'll get huge sativa plants with ultra high quality buds. It'll be ready for harvesting by mid-November.
It releases a sweet and delicious aroma which is also penetrating and a caramel taste with touches of exotic spices. All in all, it reminds of salad with pineapple and guacamole. This taste will take you to Caribe, Hawaii or any tropical paradise you can think of. The effect is mainly psychologic and gives you a powerful cerebral high, very typical of sativa plants.
