These plastic takeoff collars can be used to attach tubes and ducting to your ventilation system safely.
For example, you can easily use these to attach your ducting to a hole in the wall in order to extract air – simply make a hole in the wall the size of the tube and screw in this plastic takeoff start collar to the wall, allowing you to place the tube inside and have the extracted or intracted air go through it and not end up leaking at the edges – you can easily stick the duct to the collar with adhesive tape.
Many wooden extractor boxes don’t come with these collars, so this is quite an affordable option to use in order to solve this issue.
