More product information
If you want to create a safe irrigation system where pieces won't loosen despite high pressure, you have to use 25mm hoses.
The Tee-piece for 25mm hoses lets you create secondary lines from the main pipe to supply your rows of plants. Since all pieces are threaded, your system will be very safe.
You will avoid potential dangers such as floods due to pieces loosening or water leaks when we work with high pressures, such as it is the case when large delivery rate water pumps are used.
All pieces are very easy to assemble. However, remember to pay attention when you unscrew the Tee so that you can assemble them in the same order afterwards.
How to install a Tee-piece in a 25mm polyethylene hose:
- Remove one of the screw threads and take out the pieces inside (remember the order they come in).
- There must be a thread, a collar or ring (conical piece), a plastic washer and a rubber joint.
- Introduce the threaded part inside the hose.
- Then, set the collar without pushing it too hard (it tends to be difficult to take it out in the other sense, later on)
- Set the plastic washer and then the rubber joint
- There must be a maximum of 1cm of pipe sticking out. You can move the collar up or down until achieving the required length.
- Finally, screw the thread without forcing it. If you feel it doesn't fit well, stop, take it out and start again. You shouldn't have to force it.
- Screwing the whole by hand should be enough to guarantee a watertight junction. However, we can use a pipe wrench to be totally sure.
