25mm to 1" male adapter

25mm polyethylene pieces are submitted to very high pressures so everything must be screwed really tight. Thanks to the 25mm to 1" adapter you can connect your irrigation system to any water intake with a 1" thread.

Water pumps exert a lot of pressure and in large systems, like those where large diameters are used, a safe system that guarantees pieces won't loosen and end up flying is necessary. Use this adapter with your pump for a safe and reliable connection to the system.

It is advised to use teflon tape on the thread before screwing to guarantee watertightness. In junctions with female-threaded ends, teflon mustn't be used.

How to install a 25mm to 1" adapter

• Unscrew the screw thread and observe carefully how pieces are assembled (particularly in which order).
• You'll find the thread, a grooved collar (conical piece), a plastic washer and a rubber joint
• Set the collar without pushing it down too much.
• Set the plastic washer in place and then the rubber joint.
• You must make sure the part sticking out from the rubber joint is no longer than 1cm so that the whole thing fits properly.
• Finally, screw it to the junction until it is well tight. If you feel the thread doesn't fit or it's too hard to screw, don't force it. Remove it and start again.
• The connection should be watertight simply by screwing it by hand. However, you can always use a pipe wrench to tighten it up a bit more.
