Kenex Optimo Scale

If you’re looking for an economical and tough scale, Kenex Optimo is the model you need. It’s a robust scale, made of very good materials and with a larger weighing platform than other models with a similar price. 

The weighing platform is made of stainless steel, very resistant easy to clean. The buttons are mechanical but they don’t break easily. Although economical, it’s really well-made and you’ll soon notice its a quality scale. It displays the weight in several units (g, oz, ozt, dwt). 

You have two precision models to choose from, depending on your needs. The one that weighs up to 400g has a precision of 0.1g. The most accurate (0.01g) weighs only up to 100g. Depending on what you’re going to weigh, one would be more convenient than the other. For example, to check the weight of a whole crop, use the 400g scale and, to weigh the result of BHO extractions, use the 0.01g precision one.

It has a transparent lid that serves as a tray for heavy stuff. Being a light container, it won’t take up that much weight from the scale’s total. It can be decalibrated if you try to weight too much weight. In that case, you must recalibrate. Other models of other brands must be disposed of when decalibrated. However, the Kenex Optimo can be recalibrated in order to work properly again.

Just press Mode for 3 sec. Until and the word Cal is displayed on the screen, followed by a number, usually 1g or the scale’s maximum weight. As this weight depends on the model, we can’t specify a fixed value. It comes factory calibrated so you don’t have to calibrate it unless it receives a heavy blow, it’s been unused for a long time or in case it doesn’t work properly.

It works on two AAA batteries included with your scale, so you can use it right away. It also includes a soft case to store and protect it from scratches and dust.
