Box of compact peat 41 mm Jiffy. They are as the usual discs but with a bigger diameter so that they can retain moisture more days and take longer to dry out. They are perfect to make strong and vigorous cuttings. Making cutting will become very easy and comfortable though, that’s true, they will take more place on the greenhouse tray and, if you have a limited space, your will put less units. Every grower has to know its possibilities and preferences since there are several ways to do things.

Its preparation is super simple but we have to do it correctly to succeed 100% or nearly. We put the Jiffies we need in a container and we pour in water till covering them; we wait for about 5 minutes so that they absorb well and take a cylindrical shape. The most important step consists in draining well each one of them between our hands in order that they release the water excess. Now they are ready to be used.

If during the following days we need to moisten them, we will not use a watering can but a spray in order to wet their surface and not to swamp them.
