The Basic Parabolic CFL Reflector is specially designed for light bulbs that don’t give off too much heat, so we recommend its use with compact fluorescent bulbs, which keep a low temperature.
You can safely use it with sodium lights but of reduced power, due to the already mentioned ideal temperature of the reflector.
